stir-fried anchovies (myeolchi bokkeum)

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 cup anchovies small, dried
  • 1/3 cup peanuts
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

sauce

  • 1 tsp gochujang
  • 1 tsp gochugaru
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp rice syrup
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  • in a small bowl, mix the sauce ingredients together and set aside
  • add the oil to a pan over medium heat
  • add the anchovies and toast for 1 minute, stirring often
  • add the peanuts and toast for another 2 minutes
  • add the sauce to the pan, stir until combines and cook for one more minute
  • enjoy!
