braised sardines

Ingredients
- 1 can sardines
- 1/2 onion sliced
- 1 carrot sliced
- 1/4 daikon radish sliced
- 2 green onions sliced (reserve some for garnish)
- 1 tsp neutral oil
sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp gochugaru
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger minced
- 2 tbsp gochujang
Instructions
- mix the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and set aside
- add the oil to a pan over medium low heat
- add the slices of daikon radish to the bottom of the pan
- add the onion and carrots
- place the sardines on top of the vegetables
- pour the sauce on top of the sardines
- add most of the green onions (reserve rest for garnish) and put the lid on and simmer for 10 minutes
- remove the lid, spoon the sauce over the sardines and cook for another 10 minutes
- garnish with remaining green onion and serve with rice
